Client Support Aide Part Time

Job Responsibilities:

Work one on one with adults in home and within the community assisting in daily life, social and academic skills and/or behavior management training such as basic cooking, cleaning and hygiene. Assists clients on attending appointments, shopping, community activities and professional visits, etc. Personally assists with bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming. Serves as role model and provides emotional support and feedback to client & their support system


Position Responsibilities:

Will work up to 29 hours a week based on the needs of the program, including evenings and weekends.


Competencies:

High school diploma or equivalent, and six months social services experience; Valid driver’s license. Must be at least 21 years of age with three years driving experience (per policy) to provide transportation. Need reliable transportation. CNA certification and/or experience with developmentally delayed population preferred. 


 
Physical Demands
 
Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Must have ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer.  Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Employee must be able to travel between Unison sites.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to observe and monitor consumers’ progress

Ability to participate in supportive guidance

Ability to provide documentation of activities, assist with case-management

Ability to work flexible hours
