LPN II Day or Night Shift

Job Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care duties to consumers in an inpatient substance abuse treatment program.  The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; be able to communicate and work with a variety of people including those with substance abuse issues and with dual diagnoses, with co-workers, and with community partners; and be able to work as a team member with other staff.  He/she will be able to apply verbal and written instructions and applicable skills from trainings; will be able to maintain professional boundaries, will be proficient with computers, manage time efficiently and participate in compliance. Will be trained on educating the consumers on meds once weekly as mandated by DBHDD.


Position Responsibilities:

We are currently hiring for Day and Night Shift 


Day Shift will work 7:00am-7:00pm 40 hours/week. Varying days off and alternating holidays. PLUS shift differential (5% weekends)

Night Shift w
ill work 7:00pm-7:00am 40 hours/week. Varying days off and alternating holidays. PLUS shift differential (13% evenings and 5% weekends)


Competencies:

Ability to identify medication, assist physician, convey patient’s information to physician and maintain accurate medical records of treatments, medications, symptoms and patient condition.   Proficient with computers and skilled in routine medical procedures.
 
Physical Demands
 
Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop.  Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Ability to work in a stressful environment. Exposure to blood and/or body fluids. Ability to respond to emergency/crisis situations. Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer.  Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant condition caused by noise, dust, etc. Employee must be able to travel between Unison sites.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a valid Georgia LPN license with no limitations and computer experience. Behavioral health experience is preferred.
