Health Service Tech I 3rd Shift

Job Responsibilities:

Monthly Salary is $1,672.67

plus Shift Differential of 13% evenings and 5% weekends



Basic care procedures for consumers in a residential substance abuse treatment facility.  Will monitor and assist consumers in daily recreational and social activities. Observes and communicates consumer behavior to Nursing staff; assists with laundry, linen changes, errands and transportation of consumers.  Responsible for ensuring security of unit during assigned shift.  Must be able to provide crisis control for consumers. 


Position Responsibilities:

Will work 11:00 pm - 7:00 am, alternating days and some weekends and holidays.

Ability to monitor and communicate consumer’s behavior

Ability to provide simple nursing care, personal care & hygiene

Ability to perform established treatment and programmatic activities

Skills in Time Management

Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop.  Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Ability to work in a stressful environment. Exposure to blood and/or body fluids. Ability to respond to emergency/crisis situations. Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer.  Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant condition caused by noise, dust, etc. Employee must be able to travel between Unison sites.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of a high school diploma or GED with six months experience in providing nursing type duties, and/or security.  Must be proficient with computers.  Supervisory experience preferred.
