Client Support Specialist II (Peachtree Group Home)

Job Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, will work with 4 adult males in a group home setting. Duties include assisting consumers with medical appointments, shopping for household and personal supplies, training and skill-building. Will assist with daily living needs such as cooking, cleaning, health care, community involvement, etc,  Maintains clean, safe and healthy environment.

Position Responsibilities:

This position will work a rotating shift and will require weekend and other non-traditional hours.


Competencies:

Ability to observe and monitor consumers’ behavior

Ability to provide training and/or orientation services to participants

Ability to participate in supportive guidance

Ability to work flexible hours

Proficient with computers/typing

Physical Demands
 
Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Must have ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer.  Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Employee must be able to travel between Unison sites.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma (or GED) and valid driver’s license.   Applicant must be at least 21 years old and have three years driving experience to provide transportation.  CNA and related Experience preferred.
